Television Newscasts

Here are some of the newscasts I have produced. (This is just a sampling… most of my old newscasts are still on Beta tapes. I have not taken the time to digitize them.)

This is an 11 pm weeknight newscast that I produced (I was filling in that night). Erika Tarantal (now at WNBC) did a terrific live shot. Anchors Gerry Brooks and Joanne Nesti let me create a fairly edgy newscast. I think because they knew they would get their “regular” producer back soon. ;-)

I don’t think I sensed how sad this lead story was. But Amy Parmenter did a wonderful reporting job. She truly put herself into every story.

Lisa Carberg is one of my favorite anchors of all time. She made even my worst writing sing and was willing (and eager) to read my wackiest copy.

This is the second part of that newscast. When you take a
close look, there really wasn’t much “news”, but the show flows
and has energy (as a consultant might say).
